Countdown Masters Series 1 ran from April 1989 to March 1990, concurrently with Series 18 and 19 of Countdown. It was won by Julian Hough. Episodes were initially broadcasted at 6:05 am and repeated at 8:19 am, but in September this changed to just one scheduled broadcast at 8:45 am.
